Background:

Ravishing Fashionistas has created a unique platform for empowering women to embrace their authentic and gorgeous selves. Every woman needs confidence, self-esteem and comfort in her own skin and our mission is to revolutionize skincare with an ultimate self-care routine that goes beyond age and skin type. Our range of skincare products promote self-love and empower women to become a better version of themselves.

Our Aim:

Good skin is a powerful source of confidence and self-esteem. We at RF Skincare, Australia, believe that your skin deserves the best. Our purpose is to make women feel at ease with their bodies and skin, and we aim to redefine beauty by breaking the shackle's that force women to fit into a confined template to look and feel beautiful.

Concept behind Creation:

When Upma was presented with the opportunity to expand the brand, she was ambitious to follow this direction that she is already passionate about. The expansion into the skincare industry mirrors the RF concept of embracing every type of woman, creating a brand that caters to all skin types and ages unlike most manufacturers who tend to focus on one specific skin type or one problem area for their products.

With a dream to create a skincare line that is suitable across family generations and can be used by not only herself, but her daughter and her mother; and the belief that all woman should be able to care for their skin without it costing the world, this range was developed to suit your skin and your budget.

Journey:

Originally from India, and moving to Australia, Upma began to notice the vast number of skin types due to the rich cultural diversity, noting how healthy everyone’s skin looked compared to what she knew from home. Endeavoring to take better care of her own skin, Upma was able to determine that the common factor in Australia was the care taken to manage skin concerns. Following this, she spent time extensively researching skin types from around the world and found that with such a diverse range of skin types and environments, the common factor was always care.

Using this newfound knowledge, the team began to develop a skin care range that suits all ages and skin types, mirroring the unique concept of Ravishing Fashionistas, encouraging all women to embrace themselves and their confidence.

Research & Development:

After an extensive period travelling the globe to determine the needs of multiple skin types the team began to gather information about the ingredients used in world class skincare products, with the goal of finding the best formulated ingredients, suited to all types of skin, and are affordable to all women.

The research took 3.5 years and after various successful lab tests and genuine positive trials by family, friends and closed associates, we have finally decided to launch ‘Ravishing Fashionistas Skincare’ in the Indian & International market.

In fact, one skincare specialist who used our product during the trial phase testified “It’s a revolutionary step towards transforming the universal skincare and fashion industry”

All our products are dermatologically tested and approved by one of the most renowned Research institutes (i.e., cliantha Research)

Responsibility towards humanity:

Upma and the team at Ravishing Fashionistas are passionate about helping women achieve greatness despite all challenges by using RF as a platform for breaking stereotypes and helping women to become a better version of themselves.

Ravishing Fashionistas is able to contribute and give back to the community through our annual RAVISHING FASHIONISTAS FASHION SHOW, providing models and designers a platform to embrace themselves, showcase their talents and inspire and empower women to own their confidence, irrespective of body types, background and beliefs.

Along with the show, RF also hosts a charity luncheon with proceeds dedicated to several worthy charities including hosting an annual high tea event dedicated to National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) with proceeds from the event to support breast cancer awareness along with NGO Dignifying Women, founded by Upma, supporting victims of domestic violence in India.

Dignifying Women is our very own NGO registered to work for Women by Women. Dignifying Women provides support to allow women regain confidence, hope, faith and belief in human kindness following domestic violence. We provide fashion industry education and vocational skills training and mentoring support to assist victims of domestic violence to confidently re-establish themselves in the community and workforce. We work with local women’s representatives to organize awareness campaigns against domestic violence. We also provide financial support to women in India who have been widowed and face an uncertain financial and social future

In 2019, RF raised funds for the UN Women National Committee AU through the show and in 2020 and 2021 supported NBCF, with the addition of Cancer Council AU in 2021 and plan to continue our work with NBCF and Dignifying Women through our 2022 endeavors.
